New Employees
New employees will encounter a waiting period prior to being able to access the system, anywhere from 5-9 weeks after date of hire. Additionally, new employees may need to wait until receipt of at least one paycheck before being able to place an order, as this is a payroll debited system.
Discounted MBTA Passes and Harvard Parking Permits
Harvard does not allow employees to purchase both a subsidized MBTA Pass and an annual parking permit. A subsidized MBTA Pass may be purchased in conjunction with the following Harvard permits: an Evening Commuter permit, a Motorcycle permit or a Daily permit.

MBTA Pass Mailing Dates
MBTA Passes are typically mailed between the 18th and the 22nd of each month in a non-descript envelope with the Crosby Benefits address listed in the return address window. If you do not receive your MBTA Pass by the 25th of the month, please contact Crosby Benefits at 800 462-2235 to check on your mailing.
Types of Passes
If you are ordering a SENIOR/TAP, Bus or LinkPass you will receive a durable plastic CharlieCard that is good for up to five years, so please do not throw this card away or punch a hole in it. If you are ordering a Commuter Rail Line Pass, you will receive a monthly mailing of a CharlieTicket, which also provides unlimited travel on the subway and buses.
